On this occasion, as an important part of the celebration, the key note speaker of the day was Mrs Juliet Maria Baretto read the Preamble of the Indian Constitution and “Constitutional values and fundamental principles of Indian constitution” was organized to cherish the glory and endorse our commitment to uphold the ideology of great Indian constitution. On November 26, 2022 and a total of 150 students, 9 faculty members of the college participated in the programme.
DR.N.M.Jose Dean Institute of nursing Sciences, Mukka, Mangalore shared his expertise on the subject. He emphasized the importance of Constitution Day, the significance of its celebration and remembered the people who contributed to the development of Indian constitution. He emphasised the basic differences of Indian constitution than that of other countries with examples specifying the basics of the constitution such as societal, familial and individual needs. The preamble of Indian Constitution i.e. India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic which is aiming to secure justice, liberty, equality to all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the nation were stressed in his speech as these rights are necessity and are not a privilege.
The program ended with Vote of thanks which was rendered by Mrs.Rosita, Assistant Professor, Mental health Nursing. The gathering dispersed after the National Anthem.
This was conducted as instructed by the University Grant Commission (UGC) vide its Circular dated 15th November 2022 and was coordinated by Mrs Rajini.Poojari, Assistant Professor, Community health Nursing, Institute of Nursing Sciences.
