Orientation Programme -2019

Mangaluru, 15th July, 2019: 

The orientation program began on 15th July 2019 in college auditorium with the welcome of the students, their parents, and dignitaries. In the inception of the program, the videos related to student’s start-ups were played & presentation was made by the software team named Spaneos on SAAS to understand the student’s academic performance to the students as well as for parents. The aim of this programme is to welcome the new students and their parents for Srinivas family and provide a smooth transition for the students into the new environment of the Institute. The program started with prayer and welcome speech was made by Prof. Shailashree V.T. Dean, Management & Commerce. The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The Co-ordinators of UG courses briefed about their respective courses and departments. Prof. P. Sridhara Acharya, Coordinator of BCA UG Programme, Mrs. Pavithra Kumari, Coordinator of BBA Aviation Management and BBA UG programme, Mrs. Sharmila S. Shetty Coordinator of B.Com. UG programme and Prof. Swaminathan coordinator B.Sc. HS/ID Srinivas College of Hotel Management were on the dais and described the importance of different programmes offered by the University. Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar Srinivas University proclaimed Srinivas University has started full swing with its flagship programmes. Smt.Vijayalakshmi R. Rao, Director Srinivas group of college, Mangalore and Smt Mitra S. Rao , Secretary A.Shama Roa, Foundation,Managalore were the guests of honour. Present student, new comers and their parents expressed their view about the college. The programme was presided over by Dr. P.S. Aithal Vice Chancellor and he told about different courses offered by Srinivas university and he also made to understand the audience how the Srinivas university courses are different from other universities courses. He also said that students to encash all the opportunities provided by the college.

 

As a continuation of Orientation programme, activities were conducted on 17th July,2019 The activities like ice breaker, Logo and quiz were conducted for the aviation students by the aviation department faculties and as a motivation distributed the prizes for the winning team. 

 

The Programme Was organised and coordinated by Mrs. Kavitha J, Ms. Meghashree, Ms. Kavyahsree and Ms. Madhushree, faculties of UG Dept, College of Management and Commerce and all other faculties were present. The prices for the winners were handed over by Prof.Pavitra Kumari, Course-Co-Ordinator,B.B.A Aviation Management.
