Fire and Safety Awareness Programme

Mangaluru 20th September, 2019: The Social Service Wing of BBA aviation program Srinivas University, City campus, Pandeshwar Mangaluru organized a Fire and Safety awareness program and Fire and Safety mock drill on 20 th  September 2019 at city campus. The purpose of the program was to create awareness among the students on various firefighting techniques and the way to respond such emergency situations and officials also explained the students about life saving and rescue technique in case of fire breakout. K.P Mahamed Zulfikar Nawaz, District Fire Officer, Fire Prevention Kadri Managaluru was the chief guest of the program, he explained the basic nature of fire and causes of its breakout, importance of having various firefighting gadgets.

 The Vice –Chancellor of Srinivas University, Principal, Department Management and Commerce Dr. P. S Aithal spoke about the importance of Fire and Safety education in curriculum.   The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Shailashri V.T. Dean Department of Management and Commerce. Mr. Jayaprakasha.K, Faculty, Department of Management and Commerce rendered vote of thanks. The program was held under the guidance of Prof. Pavithra Kumari, Course coordinator, Aviation Management program. A fire safety demonstration drill was conducted in the campus by the officials of the Fire and Safety department Mangaluru
