Mangaluru organized 30 th year of Annual Food festival “HOG – 2K22” on
30 th
of April 2022.
DR CA A Raghavendra Rao Honorable Chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and President A. Shama Rao Foundation presided over the function. The festival was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Peter Nirmal, General Manager, Taj Gateway Hotel, Mangaluru.
Dr A Srinivas Rao, Honorable Pro-Chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and Vice President, A Shama Rao Foundation, A Vijayalakshmi R Rao Trustee-Member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Prof. Er. A. Mitra S. Rao Trustee-Member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, were the guest of honours on the occasion.
Dr Anil Kumar, Registrar, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Registrar (Development), Upendra Singh Rawat, General Manager, Srinivas Verda Saffron, Mangaluru, Prof. Swaminathan S, Dean, Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism, Prof. Rajasekhar, Dean, Institute of Physiotherapy, and staff of the Institutions were present on the occasion.
The Annual food fest is being organised since 1992 to expose all the Hotel Management students to the intricacies and nitty gritties of event management.
Students get to experience the various aspects like Sales & Marketing, Food Production, F&B Service, Purchasing and other Management skills. The programme was compered by Mr. Claran Frank Abreo of IV Semester student.
Flaring & Juggling, Cultural program, Mouth watering delicacies were the highlights of the evening.
