The Legion 2K22, was inaugurated by Dr. J Sathya Sai Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Srinivas University and appreciated the students and 18 number of trophies were awarded to students for various events and 2 number of overall trophies for 2nd and 1st prize were awarded to overall group.

Job-oriented Computer Science courses for UG, PG aspirants

Mangaluru, July, 2022: Institute of Computer Science and Information Sciences under Srinivas University is offering Higher Education in the field of Computer Science and its Applications since 2017. Earlier the institution was affiliated with Mangalore University offering courses BCA, MCA, and MSc since 2001, and was accredited by NAAC with an A Grade. Presently the Institution is offering BCA, BSc (DFM, Animation & VFX), and MCAalong with Research Programs in Computer Science and its Applications.
Bachelor of Computer Applications is an undergraduate programme that nurtures students to become young IT professionals. Bachelor of Computer Applications is a three year – six semesters undergraduate programme with an option of four year - eight semesters for an honours degree in BCA as per NEP. The MCA programme of Srinivas University is a two-year programme designed with the primary goal of imparting a uniquely broad, yet intensive IT education of the highest academic quality. The programme has been designed with a focus on delivering the latest, industry-oriented education in computer applications with a sound theoretical and practical approach to learning.

Srinivas University organizes Premier League Football match for MBA students

Mangaluru, Jul 18: Srinivas University, Institute of Management and Commerce MBA students organized a unique 'Srinivas Premier League', intra collegiate football tournament was organized for MBA and M Com students on July 12 at 'DUG OUT' football ground.

The first and second-year students enthusiastically decided on the franchisees, players were divided through auction calls into four franchises. They thoroughly enjoyed organizing, participating, and running the event. These activities are organized frequently for the MBA and MCom students to encourage the development of leadership abilities, organizing skills, nurturing team spirit, and teamwork skills amongst students which are very much needed in today’s graduating youth as essential skill sets.

Prof Keerthan Raj Dean of the Institute of management and commerce inaugurated the event and professor Sagar Srinivas conducted the event with other faculties being present on the occasion.

Srinivas University organizes Prison Awareness Programme

Mangaluru, Jul 18, 2022: With the blessings of A Shama Rao, founder of Srinivas University and under the guidance of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor Srinivas university Mukka, Surathkal, Mangaluru. On July 15 department of forensic science conducted one day awareness programme for prisoners in district prison Mangaluru by undergraduate and post graduate students along with faculties of Forensic Science department with the help of jail superintendent and staffs, district prison, Mangaluru. The purpose of the visit was to create awareness among the prisoners: through a reformative programme. The chief guest for this programme was Shobha B J, senior civil court judge, along with B T Obhaleshappa, superintendent district prison Mangaluru and Swathi D, course coordinator, department of Forensic Science, Srinivas University. Students conducted anawareness session through a skit and tried to convey a message that 'Not to lose hope as mistakes shall be rectified and one can overcome the hardships in life'. At the end of the programme prisoners gave feedback and shared their feelings. The guest along with the organizer addressed the public and gave their opinions. The programme was ended by felicitating the dignitaries on the dais.

Farewell to 2020-22 Second Year MSW

Pandeshwara, 16th July, 2022: Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities have organised Farewell programme for the Second Year MSW Students (Batch 2020-22). The formal programme started with the prayer song by Ms. Sanjana and Ms. Jyothi. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Soji of First Year MSW.  The inauguration of the programme was carried by cutting the cake by Dr. Laveena D'Mello, Dean of the department. All second year students have shared their experiences on the stage. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Shreya of first year. Cultural programmes and games were conducted for the outgoing students. The games including pick and act, balloon game, saree wearing, dancing task were conducted. Cultural programmes such as solo song by Mr. Jerin, Group dance by First year MSW girls, Solo dance by Ms. Souparnika of Bachelor of Journalism, Solo dance by Ms. Ashira of first year BSW were performed. Lunch was served to all the participants. Documentary was played by Ms. Dyanika of Journalism Department. Feedback session was organised and Prizes were distributed to the winners of the game by Dr. Laveena D'Mello. Mr. Mohammad Khilaf of Journalism department proposed the Vote of Thanks.
